    Leading in the maturity stage

    A course by Dave Patty

Many ministries eventually enter a season of maturity, when their work, relationships, leadership and systems have become established. This is the season when years of faithful leadership begin to bear fruit. Programmes are established, leaders are experienced, systems are stronger, and relationships with churches, communities, partners, donors and those you serve have been built over time.

Reaching maturity is something to celebrate, but it is not the finish line. The challenge of maturity is to remain faithful to God’s mission while wisely stewarding everything He has entrusted to your organisation. This requires discernment: knowing what should be preserved, what needs to change, and what should be entrusted to others.

Mature ministries invest in people, strengthen governance, develop future leaders and remain open to God’s direction rather than relying on past success. In this course, you’ll explore what maturity looks like, how leadership needs to evolve, the challenges that can emerge, and how your ministry can remain fruitful through continual renewal.
