    3. What are our targets for each priority?

    How will you know if your strategy is working? What are some of the goals you are going after?

    In this section, we will list a measure of success against each of your strategic priorities. Getting the right goal here is not easy – too big and it is unattainable and discouraging. Too small and it does not stretch you and your team.

    The time frame for these goals aligns with the time frame of your strategic priorities. We suggest you aim for 3 years at most.

    Tip: Avoid setting goals that might look impressive to funders but are unachievable for your team.

    e.g. Continuing with our example, a target for the year ahead might be: “10 new internal leadership trainers trained and deployed.”
