1. Why do we exist?

The first thing your one-page plan needs is a statement of why your organisation exists, its vision and mission. Asking yourself why your organisation exists and working to get that into one statement is a powerful process.

If you have long statements, they are going to take a lot of space on your one-page. We encourage you to do some work to condense them into a single sentence.

Tip: It is effective to include a big goal if you have one in place.

e.g. An organisation training leaders in communities might have a statement such as: “We exist to raise up next generation ministry leaders. In the next 3 years we aim to equip 1000 young leaders.”
