    Identify your organisation’s personality

    Use the prompts in the activity to identify the personality of your organisation.

    Examples: Creative, bright, calm, energetic, smart, kind, sensitive, bold, direct, fun, passionate, trustworthy
    Examples: Sister/brother, friend, mother/father, grandparent, neighbour, counsellor, advisor, teacher
    Examples: Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. -Colossians 4:6 (ESV) For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. -2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV) “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” -1 Thessalonians 5:11 (ESV)
    Examples: refreshed, empowered, renewed, understood, cared for, peaceful, knowledgable, joyful, reflective, energized
    Examples: Mr. & Mrs. Jones say Thrive is gracious with a side of salt (wit). Moriah says Act Now is like a physical trainor – empowering and inspiring. Chantrea says Renew Maternal Care is like a sage grandmother – respected and kind. Kevin says Life Ministries is persevering and careful, like a carpenter that gives time and detail to his craft.

    Your answers are only visible to you.

    In each of the examples from above, I’ve put the personality in bold. Highlight the personality in your own statement.

    Mr. & Mrs. Jones say Thrive is gracious with a side of salt (wit).

    Moriah says Act Now is like a physical trainor – empowering and inspiring.

    Chantrea says Renew Maternal Care is like a sage grandmother – respected and kind.

    Kevin says Life Ministries is persevering and careful, like a carpenter that gives time and detail to his craft.

    Does the personality you’ve highlighted feel like it captures the uniqueness of your organisation? Does it match the experience you desire your those you serve to have when they interact with your organisation?

    Once you can answer, “Yes!” to those questions, you have identified your organisation’s personality!
