Part 3: Achievement

Leadership consists of direction, alignment, and achievement; achieving the vision requires action, not waiting for everyone to agree.
You will never get everyone on board, so leaders must identify and work with the right people.
Focus on early adopters — respected influencers who adopt change early and help others follow.
Like Jesus with the twelve, leaders achieve impact by working closely with a few rather than trying to align everyone.
Begin with small wins instead of attempting the full vision at once, as momentum is built step by step.
Effective small wins are easy enough to succeed in and visible enough to be celebrated and build momentum.
Leaders must continually affirm and encourage people, acting as cheerleaders rather than fault-finders or perfectionists.
Be honest and transparent about mistakes; credibility and trust grow when leaders admit errors and show learning.
Alignment is ongoing work, and leadership itself is complex and difficult, but with God’s help and genuine service, leaders will succeed.
