Leadership can be deeply rewarding, but it can also place enormous pressure on the people carrying the responsibility. Over time, the demands of leadership can affect a leader spiritually, emotionally, mentally, relationally and physically. And the consequences rarely stop with the leader. They can ripple into families, teams, organisational culture and even future generations.
This course explores what it means to lead from a place of health rather than exhaustion. Across six activities, you’ll explore the pressures that contribute to burnout, the beliefs and assumptions that can keep leaders trapped in unhealthy patterns, the warning signs that something is beginning to break down, and the practical rhythms that can help leaders thrive.
The course also looks beyond the individual leader. Because the health of a leader has a direct impact on the people and organisation around them, leader wellbeing is not simply a personal responsibility. It is also an organisational and governance issue.
