    Reflecting on your own leadership

This is our working definition of leadership:

A leader helps people move from where they are now to somewhere else. And a godly leader will help people move to a better place in the purposes of God.

    Leadership means movement.

In the next five minutes or so, please reflect on your own life and leadership in the following contexts.

    Self-leadership

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Are you moving in the right direction in your own life? Are you growing more and more into the image of Christ? What other personal goals do you have? Are you moving toward them? What can you do to improve?

    Family

Is your marriage moving in the right direction? What needs to change?

Are you helping your children grow in Christ, in their character, and in their life purposes? How can you help them better?

    Church life

Are you growing and serving in your local church? Are you taking responsibility to help others in the church family to move to a better place in the purposes of God?

Is there anything that needs to change?

    Workplace

If your role in the workplace is a leadership role, have you actually been functioning as a leader? Have you been helping others to move to better places in God’s purposes for them?

Your answers are only visible to you.
