The leader ID model

Leadership involves change, vision, and movement; leaders think about the future and act to move people toward vision.
Leader identification looks for those who think (vision, strategy) and act (initiative, responsibility); character is essential but does not determine leadership capacity.
Leaders are confirmed through observation and community affirmation, or tested through situations requiring initiative (e.g. Timothy, Acts 16).
Identification is spiritual and requires dependence on God, shown through prayer and prophetic confirmation (Luke 6:12–13; 1 Tim 1:18).
The model connects to the full framework: identification (Leader ID), development (five C’s, four D’s), and deployment (sending with support); all three must be practised well.
