Qualitative Data Analysis

Have you run a qualitative interview yet? Here’s a helpful tool that you can use to help you analyse the data that came out of your interview.

Read through your raw data (the notes from your interviews) twice to help you fill in the two columns below. Each time you read through your raw data, focus on one of the column heading topics and fill in that column before moving on to the next reading and focus topic. Once you’ve filled in the columns, read through the columns to identify themes that stand out in your analysis. Look for trends, common emphases, pervasive qualities, patterns, differences, relationships, etc.
