Julie’s Story on Storytelling

• Faith Journey: Realised she knew Jesus only as religion, but through the church community, she began a true relationship with Him, becoming a “friend of Jesus.”
• Turning Point: Started her NBC job the same week she came to faith—her storytelling shifted from career-driven to Christ-centred.
• Ministry & Leadership: Later, she joined the ministry with Cru, where a mentor taught her the importance of sharing the broken and imperfect parts of her story.
• Storytelling & Faith: Believes the Bible is one long story of God; Jesus calls His people to share their stories through the Holy Spirit.
• Purpose of Storytelling: Stories show others what Jesus looks like in real life, move hearts more than teaching alone, and are vital for leaders to communicate impact and inspire change.
